We all love our dogs and when they are happy we are happy.. But sometimes we need more space than we have in our homes to let them run, jump, and socialize: to let dogs be dogs.
Our group of friends and volunteers maintain and support a wonderful public off-leash dog park located at 1905 Spring Forest Road in north Raleigh, NC, with two spacious fenced in areas- one for small dogs and one for large dogs - located next to Millbrook Exchange Park, a large public park with a pool, playgrounds, and ball field that is part of the Raleigh Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources system.
Volunteer-supported, the Millbrook Dog Park relies on our group, the Friends of Millbrook Dog Park for waste-bags, clean-up projects, and special events. Working through the City of Oaks Foundation, we apply for grants and corporate support for larger improvements to the dog park, and people making donations through the 501(c)(3) non-profit City of Oaks Foundation may be eligible for a charitable tax deduction on their gift.
