His work has been featured in arts magazines and on book covers and he has been awarded fellowships at The Virginia Center for Creative Arts and Vermont Studio Center. "Ulinski approaches still life as a sculptor would, dwelling on the outline of things, on their volume and play of light, rendering objects on a table top or window sill like Cezanne did with the cone, cylinder, and sphere."
