Support your community park!

There are more than 200 parks in Raleigh featuring open fields, shady walking trails, playgrounds, art centers, athletic facilities, community centers, lakes, nature preserves, dog parks, swimming pools, greenway trails, historic sites, open spaces, and more!

Raleigh's residents rely on our parks and community centers now more than ever before, for play, excercise, connecting with nature and their neighbors. But challenges like heavy use, extreme weather, and economic pressures can make it harder and harder to keep them up to their excellent standard of quality.

Neighbors, local businesses, and community organizations can come together to help keep our parks in top condition by making donations through the City of Oaks Foundation to support their local parks, community centers, and greenway trails and be good stewards of these public resources.

Donors can make gifts through the Foundation that will be used by the City of Raleigh's Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department to address priority needs in either specifically designated parks or wherever the need is greatest.

Recent projects made possible by gifts made through the City of Oaks Foundation include:

  • Annie Louis Wilkerson Nature Preserve Tree Planting
  • Durant Nature Preserve Clean-Up
  • North Hills Park Pickle Ball Courts
  • Roanoke Park Landscaping and Tree Planting
  • Roberts Park Painting and Clean-up
  • Sertoma Arts Center Improvements

Please make a donation today to help support YOUR neighborhood park or community center and let's ensure a Great Outdoors for a Great Raleigh!

Gifts made through the Foundation are for general support, as best determined by the Parks Department, and gifts made with conditions cannot be accepted.
